If anyone could help….New to WordPress and have everything pretty much up and running except I can’t get my logo to center. It hangs over my menu items and pushes them over in firefox and goes behind them in ie.

I’ve been working on this one thing for days and I got nothing left.

  • I think logo image is little large in size, try to make it small (remove upper and lower spaces), also use .png format with transparent background.

I had it designed at the exact size I was told to. It is supposed to fit perfectly in the red bar at the top of the page but instead it appears that the top edge is starting at the middle. It would take me a week just to get the graphics designer to re work it. I’ll attach the code from the site below that I think controls its placement. If you could, can you see what I would need to change to have it centered up in the red bar.

    Thanks again for the help.

I don’t think there is a problem with codes. Why not to try it’s documentation https://www.woothemes.com/support/theme-documentation/gotham-news/

I tried getting the documentation but was told that I needed to pay nearly $200.

So is there no way I can have the logo file start at the top of the red bar instead of in the middle?

Then I think it’s better to align it’s layout at center and then see if it fit or not. Or change the size of logo it will not affect your design.

Tried changing the size of the logo. It still starts at the center of the header and overruns the bottom. I tried making it smaller and smaller until it was about the size of a 14 point font and then it worked but wasn’t readable. Something is causing it to align the top of the logo at the center of the bar instead of the top of the header bar. I just need to know what that is and I’m good.

Got it…All I needed to do was to go into the Stylesheet and reduce the header padding left col from 37 to 10. Everything works perfectly.

Great! Pleased to know that ??
