    Hi there.
I was changing my settings in wordpress, and mistakenly changed the WordPress address in the general settings tab.
Now I can’t access my wordpress control panel, and my site looks all crazy…

    https://www.seftonchamber.com

Here is the error when trying to connect to wpadmin

Warning: require(/websites/LinuxPackage02/se/ft/on/seftonchamber.org.uk/public_html/wp-includes/load.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /websites/LinuxPackage02/se/ft/on/seftonchamber.org.uk/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 19

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/websites/LinuxPackage02/se/ft/on/seftonchamber.org.uk/public_html/wp-includes/load.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php’) in /websites/LinuxPackage02/se/ft/on/seftonchamber.org.uk/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 19

Your help would be massivly appreciated.

I have tried to restore the files through filezila, but have had no luck.

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Thanks for the swift response!

I have tried that, now I am getting

    Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at cust-mysql01. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    * Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    * Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    * Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

Just got my website back up and running, and it’s been restored to back in March 2010!!!!

I have temporarily disabled this, and have rummaged through my files on filezilla, all of which are still there… whats happened?!

Is this a forwarded domain or is WordPress actually installed on the domain?

WordPress is installed on the domain.
I am on the phpmyadmin control panel now, and all the files are still there? Including recent posts, including posts I updated this morning…

    Database Upgrade Required

WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to upgrade your database to the newest version.

The upgrade process may take a little while, so please be patient.

I get that when I try logging in to wp-admin?
    This is so weird

Did you restore an old database backup?

    Thread Starter Matt Dunn

    (@matt-dunn)

Nope, I didn’t restore a thing, apart from some of the wordpress files. All the wp-content hasn’t been touched..

When I try access the files through my hosting (webfusion) on the file manager, I get the following

Warning: ftp_pwd() [function.ftp-pwd]: OOPS: child died in /websites/LinuxPackage01/we/bf/tp/webftp.atlas.pipex.net/webftp/include/ftp.class.php on line 78
Could not connect to server 94.136.40.100:21 with user [email protected]

    Try again…

I think you may need to have a word with your hosts.

Think I’m going to get someone external to check this out for me, some SQL, php experts… Can’t afford to re-create my whole website and don’t think my boss would be too happy!
