Three Problems with Editing the Quest Theme

I recently have been working on drafting a wordpress site. I started with the following theme:

and have been adjusting various things to customize it. I’m very happy overall with the results but I’m running into three problems which I can’t figure out how to fix.

The three problems are as follows:

1) I want the Javascript slider to fit smaller on the front page and not be so prominent. I got it to fit with the posts still filling through and without pictures but after a few blog posts were made it disappeared all together. I don’t know how to alter the javascript to fit into the smaller page.

2) Also on the top page the small feed bar to the right isn’t working properly, it works fine on every other page.

3) If you go to blog and then click on a blog post the images on the header completely disappear and two images on the feed bar to the right (images I added) don’t work properly. This only happens on blog pages. Otherwise both work fine on every other page (see above)

I’m pretty hopeless at this point and I don’t even know where to look in the files to figure these things out since they work on some pages but not all.
