how do I create a new category/language to my website

Hey,

So I am trying to figure out the best way to add another language to my website without using a silly Google translated version. I was thinking that adding an /es category at the end of my website url and then add a new page for each section of my website (but in spanish this time), could this be the way to go? And exactly how do I do this as well as how would I get my front/home page to change as well (it′s not a static page)?
