Thank you to anyone who takes pity on me! (non-programmer, new to www.ads-software.com)

From my previous blog platform–a customized website page built for me– my 7,000 subscribers are used to getting my blog emailed to them whenever I post a new one. Can I do that within www.ads-software.com? I imported all my followers– names & emails into my user list. Someone please tell me there is a way to email them my blogs???

Do I need a plug-in? If so, which one? Or do I need a third-party service?

    Huge thanks!

  • Hey shasta, check out feedburner.com which allows you to set up an rss feed that your users can subscribe to via email or by subscribing to your rss feed so everytime you post a new post, your readers will be notified. Here is an example feed you can create for your blog using feedburner.com -> https://feeds.feedburner.com/FerbsCosmetics. If you notice on the upper-right, your users have the option to subscribe using their favorite reader, or subscribe by email

Feedburner is not your solution because feedburner does not allow importing of mailing lists. You can use the plugin WP Autoresponder https://www.wpresponder.com/. I am using it on more than one website. If you need help, please contact me. In one case I was asked by my client to import her almost entire addressbook and it works very well. You can even control when the email goes and when it should not go.

Thank you! I ended up using feedblitz which let me import my subscriber list and email them udpates! I sure appreciate your suggestions!

I just reviewed feedblitz and find them rather expensive. I have mailing lists (genuinely inhouse built by subscribers themselves) that run into 200,000 range. If I was on feedblitz, my monthly bills would be very high.

With a good website, your subscriber base can and does grow. So you need to choose the platform carefully.
