[Plugin: XML Google Maps] NextGEN Gallery Plugin is not installed or activated!

    Hi,

    I’m getting this error message:

    NextGEN Gallery Plugin is not installed or activated!

    I’m not quite sure when this happened, as of today I would like to post a new hike I did, I found out that it is not working any longer on my site.

    I have done several changes, first of all I’m now using the multisite feature, I updated to WP 3.1 and I have the latest NextGen Gallery Plugin and XML Google Maps Plugin installed.

    I know that it worked fine once. This is how I included my work into the post:

    When I modify my code to this:

    The map is showing but there are no photo icons on the map showing up!

    Strange! Is there something that changed and I missed to update or is it a bug?

    Hi, first notation is correct. The message seems really strange. I’ve installed most actuals version of wordpress and ngg and it works fine…

    It also seems that the load time of a page with the plugin in is really high and lagging…

    Do you also have a long loading time?

    Sorry, not really, it seems to be specific to your installation and not to the plugin. Lagging, load time depends on your server performance and gpx file length…

    Mhmh another bug caused by your plug in here is that the RSS feed is not working any longer! And the GPX file is not big it is just a 7.5 km route it shows (684kb).

    I deactivated the plugin to see if the RSS feed gets updated and so it was. Then I tried to turn on the plugin again to see what the feed will look like and got this error:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare add_xmlgm_option_page() (previously declared in /is/htdocs/.../plugins/xml-google-maps/xmlgooglemaps.php:45) in /is/htdocs/.../plugins/xml-google-maps/xmlgooglemaps.php on line 47

    So this would appear to any other installation too, not? There are some known limitations with some other plugins, have you checked this too?

    Also your file is “only” 684kb, php xml dom parser will need more than 20mb of memory to save this – it depends on your provider limits (usually about 16 or 32mb). That’s why there are 2 parse modes…

    I still have the issues even with the new version….

    a) RSS Feed is not working anymore
    b) XML Google Maps says that NextGen is not installed

    I pulled the plugin off from my live site and still testing it here:

    It seems that XML Google Maps is not WP 3.x in Multisite ready ?? too bad as it is the best XML Google Maps plugin I have found so far!

    The only plugins that are active are:

    Enable Site Ping WPMU

    Feed Stats for WordPress
    … and more in total there are 34 installed.

    Do you know with which ones XML Google Maps will not work or interferes?

    Yes, XML Google Maps WordPress Plugin has not been tested on Multisite installations…
