Media Settings not working

  • I uploaded some new images after upgrading to 3.1 and it doesn’t seem that it created the different image sizes specified in my Media settings upon upload, which is causing hiccups in my galleries.

    When I go to an image to insert into a post there are no sizes specified under thumbnail, medium and full. Where the pixel sizes use to be, it is blank.

    Is this a 3.1 bug?

    When I try to upload an image it says “IO error” after being 100% done.

    Then when I go to edit the image I get the message… “Image data does not exist.” and it tells me to upload again. Which I have tried.

    Have you tried:

    – working through the solutions suggested in Troubleshooting WordPress 3.1 – Master List

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    I have deactivated all plug-ins, still getting error message. And I have eliminated all plug-ins that were not being used before those I deactivated.
