{Off topic} Cannot use WP – Javascript security settings on laptop

    Hello

    I can’t get my head around this – so am seeking help.

    I have upgraded to a new laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad Edge) which is excellent except for one major issue.

    Somehow – it is blocking all the (javascript??) links: upload/insert media, publish media, add new category, choose from most used post tags etc.

    What I have checked:
    – Not Anti- Virus as have disabled this and tried
    – Not browsers – as have x-tried three
    – Is definitely the laptop – these links work on my old laptop perfectly

    Any thoughts?

    OS and security settings? IIRC Windows 7 has some steeper settings.

    Am using Windows 7
    Believe it is a 64bit Laptop – Java is 64bit
