Issue Posting Images WP 3.1 (Insert into Post)

  • I am assisting a friend in troubleshooting the image post feature.

    We are unable to post images using the “insert into post” function of the post tool. We end up landing on a blank page when uploading an image and submitting the “Insert into Post” form. Another thing to note is that the image upload tool seems to open as a new page rather than as a pop-up window/DIV on top of the post tool.

    I have tried this on a separate wordpress site using the same computer and browser and it worked fine. It seems to be an issue with this specific admin console.

    The site in question is karmacrossfit.com
    My site (just a test site) is shurgot.wordpress.com (and it works fine)

    Any ideas? Could a plug-in be causing this issue?

  • Have you tried:

    – checking through Troubleshooting WordPress 3.1 – Master List

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Did these steps work? I am having the same problems as of the last 3 days, so would love to know how it panned out for you.

    I’m having the same problem and it appears to be an issue with NextGen Gallery.

    I still haven’t figured out a solution though.
