nested wordpress installations in subdirectory showing a 404

    Essentially I am having this same problem.

    I have a wp install at domain.com
    I have another one at domain.com/othersite
    But when I go to that second one, it gives me a 404 error for the root domain’s wp install. How do I force it to show the wp installation in the subdirectory?

    Also note: I don’t want to combine them using the new multisite option. I want them to be completely and distinctly separate aside from having the same root url.
