User events plugin?

Hey guys,

As part of a student project we’re making a website and part of it requires users to create they’re own events. The user needs a certain amount of attendees before the event can go ahead. We would like the events to countdown to a time that the users have to comfirm they are going, something like how ebay lists items. Instead ours will list events.

Does anyone know what plugin or plugins we could use in order to create this user events list?

Would really appreciate any help given!
