[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] keyboard navigation

I’ve noticed other questions about this, but nothing has been answered. I’d like to add keyboard navigation to the image gallery, and I think this site would be useful: https://jqueryfordesigners.com/adding-keyboard-navigation/

However, I have no idea where to implement it. A hint in the right direction would be enough for me to attempt to do it on my own, I just need to know where to look. Thanks.
