Remove 'More' and Edit 'Meta'

Ok so i am new to this wordpress and really really struggling removing ‘read more’ att he bottom of a post its not needed as my text fits on! tried loads of things and please dont reply if you dont know because i followed one persons advic about removing it from a css and it all messed up.
secondly i only want login and register to show on meta and nothing else how do i remove these?
