Unable to verify application ID. This may be due to a network error. Ignore this warning if you know you have input the correct ID.

will it be ok if I ignore this error??
I am sure that I’ve put the correct ID.

  • Hi

It’s the same problem as before:
    in facebook-comments-core, change:
    $file_contents -> $file_contents[]

For me, the ID field is always marked ‘INVALID APP ID’, but it works

    I use v 3.0.2.2

Yeah it also works for me although there’s error message, btw I’ll change $file_contents -> $file_contents[]

you helped me again, thank you very much ??

    FYI
I have installed the last version v3.1, It is OK without modifying the new files

I am using 3.1 version too when I posted my question here.
it always says the same error

What about XID? could it be associated with my problem?
    XID from version 2.1.2: 6qATTU2ixxxxx

    I have this message :
“Unable to verify application ID. This may be due to a network error. Ignore this warning if you know you have input the correct ID.”
    But it works.

I think, it isn’t associated with the XID

    OK
it’s clear, just ignore the error message because the plugin works well.

    Thank you for replying.

I am having the same problem and this solution did not work for me…

ERROR! Invalid application ID. Please double check to make sure it is correct. Note that this is not the same thing as your Facebook user ID

I have the same issue ERROR! Invalid application ID

Same here, invalid app ID. I also tried installing on another site and getting the same error.

Yes, been getting this “ERROR! Invalid application ID. Please double check to make sure it is correct. Note that this is not the same thing as your Facebook user ID”

I’m havin the same error, checked it many times over and over again…

When I click through to my facebook app it mentions something like:
‘To fix this error, please set your Canvas URL / Secure Canvas URL in the application settings editor. Once it has been set, your users will be redirected to that URL instead of this error page.’

Why do I need this canvas url?
