I accidentally locked myself out (LOL!) of the SlimStats configuration page when I made a typo in my admin user name under the Permissions -> “Users who can configure WP SlimStat” section.

A check for user existence in regards to configuration permissions would be helpful in catching incorrectly entered or non-existent user names.

Very good point, added to my todo list ?? Were you able to reset the access?

Yes, I was able to reset access by creating a temporary Admin level account that used the erroneous user name I had entered for SlimStats, and made the appropriate corrections before deleting the temporary admin account.

Alternatively, you could have used phpMyAdmin to remove the corresponding entry from wp_options, but your solution is actually simpler ?? Well, I’ll add this new check anyway!

Actually, using phpMyAdmin was my first consideration, but since I’m a total MySQL noob, I didn’t want to risk messing up the database. ??

Time to invest in a MySQL book for dummies I guess. ??

Well, your solution is actually easier ?? But investing in a good MySQL book is always a good thing!
