HTTP compression/minify problems

I am using the development version of W3TC and am running into some problems with the minyfy and the browser cache. Enabling HTTP compression or trying to gzip the css brakes the layout of my site and the same is happening even if I only try to combine the CSS and Java Scripts .

Can someone offer an advice of how these can be fixed .
