after upgrading my site won't work and CAN'T login either

  • i upgraded to 3.1 and it fried my site. i got all white blank pages, then i restored the original files, but it’s only text, no design or CSS as well i cannot login either i get this message.

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_network_admin() in /home/content/a/t/o/atomiclab/html/wp-admin/includes/menu.php on line 10

    i did read a forum about replacing the wp-admin, i did that but i didn’t change anything.

    hi govpatel, thanks for the response, I cannot login to edit anything, deactivate or switch themes, when i go to my /wp-admin page it just reads

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_ …..

    Have you tried: – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? using ftp rename plugins folder to say plugins-hold and create a blank plugins folder If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems? – using ftp rename your theme so that default twenty ten theme opens.

    ahh that did bring up the login screen finally , thanks , but when i login it then takes back to the same screen reading:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_ …..

    Can you post your url so I can see the error you get.

    Error establishing a database connection

    Check your wp-config.php file.
