• Where do I go to tell WP to only display, say, the first 10 lines of post? I’d rather show a title-and-summary view of my posts than the default “total post” view with Kubrick in v1.5. I guess its an attribute of a text object, but where should I start looking?

    cheers!

  • Did you try the <more> tag in your admin panel, above the text area? Quicktags? You can insert it exactly where you want.

Like moshu, I use the <!–more–> tag, I had to discover it the hard way, as the quicktag editor is by default disabled in Safari.
There is also this plugin that will automatically limit all posts. I haven’t used it, but it seems to do what you are asking.

Thanks, I found and am using successfully using, the “Hide or Cut” plugin from https://coffee2code.com

I’m about 72hrs into my first install of a blog and its getting kinda cool! Just some details left to tweak and I can start shoveling in all the text I’ve written over the past 4 years…

    Thanks for the replies!
