Lost my blog after up-loading free theme

  • Help!
    I lost my blog after up-loading free theme and this is the message that I’ve been getting.
    I can’t get into my admin page to change it to another theme. I get the same error message!

    This theme is released under creative commons licence, all links in the footer should remain intact

  • Hello there, glad to help.

    It seems like you went into your Editor and messed up with the footer, hey? Well you need to keep the footer information down there since it is licensed to.

    Delete the theme, and re-install it. Tell me what happens after you’ve done that?

    Your probably tried to remove the codes on the footer.
    Whatever you remove from the footer.php, put it back.

    That should fix it.

    You can then try to post your website URL here.
    And your footer.php

    So I can check If we can actually remove that without getting that error.

    … Right, if you know what you changed from “footer.php”, just edit it back in. If you don’t, look’s like you’ve gotta remove the theme and re-install it ??
