• I’ve been trying to figure this out for the longest time, but have had no luck as of yet. On my wordpress blog I have categories such as music videos, downloads, clothing, etc. What I want to accomplish is to have a page named “Downloads” that contains all the posts marked with that download category; and the same for the other categories. Is there anyone out there that can help me figure this out?

  • Why not use a WordPress category page – they already exist as exactly what you are looking for.

If the category slug on downloads is “downloads” the page is at
    https://mydomain.com/category/downloads
    check it out

you can also change the word category to something else – see the dashboard Settings / Permalinks page

When I try going to that page, I get a 404 error page. What am I missing to set that up?

do you have any posts in the downloads category? It will only work on categories that have posts assigned. Try one of the others.

And make sure the category slug (the last part of the URL) matches what is entered on the category page in the Posts section in the dashboard area
