how to add photo slideshow

I need to know this same thing. I’m new to WP. I tried adding “featured” category and tag to a post and it the featured image appears in the slider but as a thumbnail. ?? Any guidance is appreciated.

Which theme? Where exactly are you trying to add a photo slideshow? Website link? Provide a little bit more information… if you just want to add a slideshow to your website, find a good slideshow plugin for WordPress, I’m sure you can tell them within the template as well so you can add it within your theme.

Sorry. I found this post under the Mystique tag and assumed it would be known which theme I was referring to.

In the Mystique demo you’ll see a slider under the page menu. That’s what I can’t figure out how to turn on. I created posts and set them as “featured” via categories and tags and I also use the “featured image”. The slider then appears but the image is a tiny thumbnail in the upper left-hand corner. ??

There appears to be no documentation on this theme other than the demo.

There are a few other questions I have regarding this theme but I’m guessing I have to create a topic for each one.? I’ll go ahead and post them here just in case it’s okay.

I need to know how to create a static page without comments (like the HTML Elements page in the demo.) I can turn on a static page but comments are enabled.

I’ve got categories created but the category menu at the very top of the screen (above the logo) is not appearing as it does in the demo. I need to know how to turn that on. Custom Menus? Documentation on this would have been spectacular. :/

I would like to know if I need to use a plug-in to create an alternate sidebar. Not a 3rd column but an alternate sidebar that replaces the existing one on designated pages.

I think I may have found the answer to adding another social network icon above the page menu but points to any article for that would still be appreciated.

I found it. When you go to Admin>Pages you have to choose the “Quick Edit” rather than “Edit” for the page. The checkbox for “allow comments?” is only on the “Quick Edit” mode.

The Mystique (version 3) that is on Digital Nature page is based on the Atom framework. The author said that he will change the site soon. I will wait and put Mystique 3.0 on my site (Nasul).
