Flash banner in Widget area

  • hello friends,

    I am using WP 3.0.5

    I like to add Flash banners in sidebar widget area. The only widget I saw supporting HTML tags was “Text Widget”

    Although I can manually embed SWF file in sidebar.php but then i wont be able to change the banners in future.

    Can anyone please guide me to solve this problem?
    Oh! yes …. if possible random Flash banner rotation will be much better …. if I can add 2 – 3 Flash & GIF banners that can load at random …. it would be superb.

  • What I tend to do with situations like this is,
    add a page called ‘test’ or something. Then using the editor insert the Flash file. Change the view to the HTML tab and copy the code.

    Put a text widget in the widget area and paste in the copied code.

    Then delete the test page.

    This doesn’t do a random thing of course
