[Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] Recent Comments Widget Not Returning any Comments

Yep, recent comments widget (dashboard and sidebar) do not work for v2 FB comments. I could not find any documentation on how to do this for v2 FB comments either…

The recent comments widget works for v1 FB comments though.

what is the story between v1 and v2 fb comments anyway?

v2 has threaded comments. People can reply to comments being posted friend’s FB wall and those comments show up on your site, you can login via other providers / not FB only, etc.

Then how will we know when new comments are posted in v2?

I just installed the facebook comment plugin on my wordpress site (wegotrides.com), but its not working

the lugin is constantly reloading

Unless your issue is with the recent comments widget, you should post it as a new topic.

i’m using the “new” profile and my admin recent comments widget and sidebar recent facebook comments widgets are not working. Everything else are ok.

this plugin is great
but the support and faq is the worst

Any update on that? Dashboard widget still showing only old comments.

@openfire9: You can get notification through facebook (for your app). You have to go into your settings and tick the box next to your FB app to get notifications for new comments (in FB).

I’m also having problems with the comments not showing up. On this particular blog post: https://tinyurl.com/3u9l3lq FB notified me of 4-5 comments. I see it under the Moderator View, but I do not see it or anything else under Public Comments. Under settings, I checked off: every post visible to everyone by default. Under Enable/Disable FB’s new comment system, I selected NEW. Any clue how to fix it?

Man, I still have this issue, it’s driving me nuts – no idea of a solution yet.

I have this issue too for new version. https://www.flippish.com does anybody have any fix for this?

I’m using the latest “facebook comments for wordpress” plugin and in the settings area I chose “v1 only”, but the latest comments widget is not working. Anyone can help me with this issue?
