    Hi
I’m not sure what version I am using but I set it up around 4 January.

All my old posts work and link, but I cannot publish new posts. I get “post not found” and a search bar to look for it.
I have done some searching on your forums.
I did change the permalink (custom: category then post name, never a problem before) and then that didn’t help, so I changed it back.
I started deleting plugins and re-installing them. Have done this with the all in one SEO, and that didn’t help either. I have other plugins but when I did the bulk action “delete” they didn’t want to delete. (Does it make any difference whether you delete or deactivate?)
I also read in another post about going into your phpmyadmin but couldn’t figure out where the “repair tables” was. (I am with serv.co.za). Also it looked like that was a situation which included old posts – my old posts are just fine, I just cannot post new ones.

Please point me in the right direction here!
    Heather

  • Heather, it looks like you got the site to work as I see a new post on your blog dated after you made this inquiry. Could you share with us how you fixed it? I think I am not the only one that needs to know.

    Thanks!

    Hi!
I searched on google for paid help. I went to Just Answer and paid them money to help me.
Can you believe it. After an hour, the guy finally figured it out. This after many tries in different directions. He finally figured it was something to do with that particular post’s text after copying and pasting it from Word. There was some (hidden) character between two words. He went through the post line by line. So then all I had to do was re-type that line.
I think the whole thing is, like many things in life (can see parallels with infertility here.. lol..) you have to try lots of things and see what works.

    Thanks, Heather.

I deleted a javascript callout in the body text used with the “transpose email” plugin and the preview then worked fine.

I use that javascript call all over the blog so why, how, does that become an issue? The quirks of tech, huh?
