[Plugin: JQuery Accordion Menu Widget] conflict with other plugins

  • This is an amazing plugin and just what I was looking for.

    I am having some trouble getting it to work with some other jquery scripts I have running on the site. I am unable to share any links as I am developing locally but I can tell you I am using the Nivo slider and also jquery kwicks.

    When I unable both of these the menu works perfectly.

    I am not too good at debugging or jquery for that matter. If you can help I would be very thankful.

    Hi Jaffa – it could be possible that the other plugins are loading jQuery again after the accordion menu has loaded – this can be a common cause of problems. Or if the other plugins have any errors this may prevent the menu from initialising.

    Check with firebug and see if any errors show and let me know what they are.

    Thank you for your reply remix4, really appreciate your quick response!

    I did use firebug to try and pinpoint the problem but it doesn’t seem to show any errors :$ I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong.

    In IE, the error message just says ‘Object doesn’t support this property or method’ and give the line number and character

    Not sure where to go from here, thought I had found the perfect solution to my problems ??

    I’ve found the same problem, and fixed it up, just commenting the 32 “nivoslider4wp-show.php” string that calls the jquery.min.js ajax api.
    Even if not an optimal solution, it works on wp 3.3.1 (plus, i’ve add the wp_enqueue_scripts function to my functions.php page)
