• I was working on adding some plug-ins and suddenly received this error message:
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function shopp() in /home8/southtf1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/shopp-cache-helper/shopp-cache-helper.php on line 77

    Now I can’t even view my website as a normal user. How do I fix this?! P.s. — I am brandnew to wordpress and therefore, please explain in very basic terms. Thanks!

  • Go here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Changing_The_Site_URL
    Once there scroll down to “Relocate”. That did it for me after h-o-u-r-s of searching the net for help!

    Good luck!

    I don’t see how relocating wordpress is relevant for a plugin problem.

    What you need to do is to rename the plugins folder to deactivate the plugins.. You can do it through FTP or with your host’s file manager.

    Sorry – I was thinking you weren’t able to access the dashboard. Don’t know where I got that from but sounds like you were able to solve your problem – and that’s what counts!

    Actually, I haven’t solved my issue. I am unable to login to wordpress by going to my website /wp-admin In fact, if you just type in my website address you still get the error message. Do i need to make changes through my cPanel?

    That’s the problem I had – I couldn’t log in using my site /wp-admin.

    Try the Relocate at the link I gave you. It worked for me.

    Can’t help you with the c-panel. My host doesn’t use c-panel. I accessed the files through my ftp (Filezilla).

    @momof2cowboys

    vrs’ suggestion won’t work for you because your problem has a totally different cause.

    Yes you need to make the changes through cPanel. Rename the plugins folder according to the instructions provided in the codex link in my previous post.

    fonglh – I am trying to work through the directions from the link you posted. Problem now is that I seem to be unable to rename that folder. ?? When I highlight the folder plugins – then click on rename file – it doesn’t do anything and an “error on page” message appears at the bottom

    perhaps you could try using FTP? use any FTP client (e.g. filezilla).

    FTP login details will be available from your host.
