Using Thematic guide?

Hi, I just bought both Alyeska html template and Alyeska wordpress theme from themeforest. to learn making wordpress themes by trial and error I decided to convert the html version to wordpress one using thematic wordpress framework but i would like to know if there ARE any useful tutorials on that or if you can personally advise me of starting from a specific point please?
