Twentyten theme mini Crash- Urgent

Have just opened my blog to find that the second column where my widgets are is completely blank until you scroll down to the very bottom. They (the widgets) appear only after the posts leaving a huge white space ?!!? Can anyone please help as it looks really silly. I’ve tried removing all the widgets and putting them back as well as changing the theme but nothing helps. to see the issue pls look at the blog (https://chattybrain.wordpress.com/) as it is quite obvious. Also another thing I noticed is that the “archives” widget appears every so often when I have never used it. SOS please as I am at my wits ends. Thanks
