• I am considering upgrading to Disqus for comments, but want to keep the Wordbooker comment and post cross-posting ability.

    Does Wordbooker support Disqus?

    Thanks!

  • No it doesn’t – if there is a really huge demand for it then I might look at adding it in for V2. I don’t use disqus myself which is why I’ve never even looked at it.

They have 500 million uniques but you may want to wait to see what happens in the next 6 months as Facebook Comments seems to be taking some share.

I take it, Wordbooker does not work with Facebook Comments either?

V2 supports FB comments in that you can choose to implement them and it does all the work for you – but it doesn’t sync between the two

The fact is most of my comments come from Facebook. I’ve just installed Disqus and I really like it and would like to keep it but if it means I can’t grab my Facebook comments I’m probably going to drop it.

If Wordbooker could fill this gap it would be a killer app.

Sorry to take over this thread but just a further thought:

If Wordbooker is set to automatically grab comments from Facebook and post them to the WordPress comments system, surely if Disqus is synced with WordPress wouldn’t the comments automatically be posted to Disqus? If they aren’t then what happens to those comments picked up by Wordbooker?

I don’t know – I dont use Disqus and I understand that things are changing.

If there is the demand for it then I will possibly add it to the road map for V2 but it wont be in the initial release.

Yes. please. That would be perfect.
