Post Author box on posts despite being unflagged in back-end

  • Hi, I already wrote to Daneiel directly but thought it might be worthwhile to post this here as well.

    On my site, I just want the author box to appear beneath the PAGES, however, it also appears on the front page which uses posts…

    Thanks for your help, has anybody else encountered this? I am using the latest version of the plugin available to date.

    Hey Titus,
    I’ve tested for the issue you’re reporting and unfortunately am unable to reproduce. Can you tell me which theme your using and how you’re using it?

    I suspect that if you’ve set a page as your homepage, and are using a page template to pull in your most recent posts, the Post Author Box is showing up.

    If this describes your situation, then the plugin is working as expected. You’ll want to update your theme so it generates the homepage with a home.php template.

    Hi Daniel,

    you are right, I messed up. It is indeed a static PAGE (not posts) that are used on the front page.

    Could you advise how to change which php file to alter? I am using the SUFFUSION framework theme..

    Otherwise I might just switch to posts. Sorry for thinking your plugin had a bug, it actually works as designed, you are completely right!
