Wrong File Type – ERROR

  • Just FYI.
    If you receive the “Wrong File Type” warning when importing options it could be due to an incorrect path to the uploads folder or folder permissions issues.

    Check the path under Settings > Media and also the folder permissions.

    Which version are you using?

    I’m dealing with this issue right now. Haven’t yet figured out a way to resolve it. I’m a theme author. What happens when my customers go to install their theme, will they receive this error as well? I hope not.

    If you are using a previous version of OT and running Multisite the xml mime type is not added by default and will throw an error when uploading xml. The latest version forces the mime type to be added to the allowed list. Hope that helps.

    That was version 1.1.6. No uploads were working on that installation at all.
