SimpleMap 2.2.2 no longer autoloads locations

  • Before 2.2.2 SimpleMap automatically loaded the locations on my map per the preference setting on the General Options page. After upgrading to 2.2.2 no location load despite the preference being set to “autoload all locations.”

    If I do a search the results appear so that are all present in the database. The map is located here: https://va-oa.org/virginia-council-camps/

  • I’m having a similar issue and was told that the bug would be fixed a few days ago… but…

    Personally, I’m thinking that it may be time to look into another mapping service

    This is a known bug. Were looking to get a fix pushed as soon as possible.
    Christian – there are plenty of other plugins out there. Feel free to give them a try if two days exceeds your paitence. I told you we were shooting for this weekend.

    My bad, I take back that last bit. I looked into other services and it’s hard to deny that yours is the best out there. I was pretty frustrated when I heard complaints from my site’s visitors about the map, but I know you guys are working on a great product overall. I let that frustration speak for me, my sincere apologies.

    Keep up the good work and expect monetary support from me soon.

    Hey – just wanted to give you a heads up. Hit a snag last night and going to try to deploy tonight (working on more fixes than the one you need).

    Just pushed version 2.2.3 to the repository with over 30 bug fixes. I’m sure I missed something. See readme.txt for more details. Let me know if you have any trouble.

    Thanks for working so diligently on the update. I’ve installed 2.2.3 and SimpleMap now autoloads all locations just fine. One minor difference I noticed is that it now displays a distance for each of the locations, presumably from the “starting location” in the General Options. I am not displaying a search form, so this is kind of confusing. Is there a way to turn that off?

    Not at this time, I’m sorry. That was actually a bug fix. The distance originally displayed all the time and disappeared at some point. I’ll add some id’s to those elements in the future to make it easier. In the meantime, you can add the following CSS to your theme’s stylesheet:

    #results .result .result_name h3 small { display:none; }

    That should do it.
