Pages now have permalink with number

  • Recently I noticed that my pages’ permalinks have a -number added at the end, e.g. /blog-2 or /contact-4.

    This seemed to occur when I deleted a page in error – when I added a page with the same name as the trashed one, the number was automatically added to the permalink.

    I’d like to remove the numbers – any tips out there?
