    Hey!

I started my blog about 2 weeks ago, and things are starting to clog. Is there any way I can make a new page which shows all the posts in a certain category? I make posts on 4-5 different subjects, and it’d be great to get them sorted into their categories.
Is there a way of doing this?

    Thanks!

  • 1) Have you added a category for each of your “4-5 different subjects?”
    2) Do you add categories to a post when you publish it?
    3) If so, clicking on a category, either in a side bar if they are listed, or under (over) a post if it is displayed, will “make a new page which shows all the posts in [that] category.” ie: WordPress does this for you by default.

    Hope that helps.

That sounds like exactly what I want to do!

I think I’m doing something wrong – whenever I click the category, it goes to some sort of search of posts from various blogs about that category. Am I doing something wrong?

I should probably clarify – I wanted all the posts in that category on my blog, not on everyones blog. As in, if I make a post in the ‘XYZ’ section, it’ll also come up in a seperate ‘XYZ’ page on my blog (the same post).

Ah! I found it to work. For my theme, the overall category stuff is at the bottom of the entire page. That’ll do for my needs. Thank you very much PAFoster!

That’s great! If you have any other questions you can always contact me on my blog. Always happy to help.
