• Been battling an issue with uploading media (mainly just images) to my site.

I have done a ton to troubleshoot and whittle it down. Including switching from a windows to a linux server.

In the end it seems to come do to using any flash uploader when using chrome as a browser. As of now I can upload to my heart’s content BUT i have to use IE to upload all the media and then i can switch back to chrome and do everything else. This happens on multiple computers and locations.

    I read this: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/25-imagemedia-uploader-problems?replies=1

but seems the issue should have been resolved by now? I can’t seem to find my exact issue any where.

Does anyone know the details on this?

    Thanks,

  • I’m having the same problem. Had to switch to Firefox to use the Flash Uploader.

In Chrome, I get errors like:

““ 20110524-005-The edible tasting menu at Moto in Chicago.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
This file is empty. Please try another.”

I can use the non-Flash uploader in Chrome, but that only uploads one image at a time, which is terribly inefficient.

No problem at all in Firefox.

    Definitely a browser specific issue…

yup – had/having the same issue too – noted on this thread: this thread.

Anyone found any work around. P!$$3$ me off having to open another browser just to upload multiple media files.
