All categories not showing up in widgets

  • I am using several plugins and widgets in my wordpress site, where some widgets ask to select the category.

    For example :
    A widget for most recent posts from selected category , asks me to select a category from which I want the posts to be displayed.

    But in that category selection dropdown list.. the required categories don’t show up..

    NOTE : I have added posts for each category and sub-category.

    PLEASE HELP ASAP
