Sorry about that esmi, I’d left it on the default permalink structure. Should be fixed now.

Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

    Esmi,

I have reviewed using permalinks and aside from the recommendation against using only postname (which i’ve done before without this issue) I cannot see anything that would help me? Is there something specific I might be missing?

Well, right now something is seriously wrong with your attachment permalinks, so I would strongly recommend that you reset them to the defaults, delete your .htaccess file and the set up a custom structure using one of recommended (preset) structures to see if that will help.

    Other options include:
    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Esmi,

Thanks for your continuing responses. Unfortunately none of the above worked.

I reset my permalinks to a custom but preset structure and deleted the .htaccess file. (/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/) The link still does not display the attachment ID.
It shows: https://sudobeautify.com/2011/05/eos-dollyeye-blue-review/deb1/ for the attachment page (this link won’t work at the time of this reply as i’m reverting back to the pretty permalinks.)

Deactivating my plugins did not resolve the issue.
Changing to the twenty ten theme did not resolve the issue.
I’ve reset the plugins folder and this too did not resolve the issue.

As I said – I want to maintain the pretty structure with the postname only so reverting to the default isn’t so much an option as it will be my last resort.

It shows: https://sudobeautify.com/2011/05/eos-dollyeye-blue-review/deb1/ for the attachment page

Well – at least that’s a properly formed attachment url compared to what you had previously. Which suggests that it is a permalinks problem.
