Youtube Videos are Autoplaying in Smart Youtube Plugin

  • Hello have you noticed that from today all embaded videos that were embaded with “Smart YOUTUBE” plugin start autoplaying while disabling autoplay option. I have been using this plugin for around a year but just from today I am experiencing all my embaded Youtube videos are autoplaying which is really frustrating. Is it happened due to any change in youtube? Can any of you suggest another pluing or any possible solution

  • I am having the same problem. Today, my videos started playing automatically. This is very annoying when some of my blog pages have several videos embedded on the page and they all start playing at once.

    After this started happening, I checked and made sure “Autoplay videos” was unchecked in Smart Youtube. It is NOT checked.

    Next, I tried upgrading to the latest version of Smart YouTube, but this did not solve the problem either.

    Is there a way to quickly solve this problem of all my videos autoplaying at the same time?

    Yes I sometime also show 5 to 7 videos in a single post. All videos start autoplaying at the same time. This problem starts today even yesterday there was no problem at all..

    The code output by smart youtube looks like this…

    iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="425" height="344" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/13yQ-QZLMco?color1=402061&color2=9461ca&border=0&fs=1&hl=en&autoplay=0&loop=0&showinfo=0&iv_load_policy=3&showsearch=0&rel=0" frameborder="0"

    You will notice AutoPlay is set to 0 but it is autoplaying anyway.

    The problem started today for me too. This must be a youtube issue. I hope the creators of Smart Youtube can fix this quickly.

    I have turned off the IFRAME option But still videos are autoplaying………

    Thanks for the tip. I unchecked “Use IFRAME embed code” in the Smart Youtube admin and that seemed to have solved the problem with the iframe code for now.

    Hopefully youtube will fix the problem on their end with the iframe so we won’t have to use this workaround for long.

    I checked your site at https://www.hospitality-school.com/restaurant-food-safety-training-video and looked at the source code since all your videos are playing at once.

    The source code revealed that you are still using the iframe code instead of the older embed code.

    Try unchecking “Use IFRAME embed code” in the Smart Youtube and be sure to clear your wordpress cache to show the new code.
