I cannot see an available widget in my theme to get the calendar in the sidebar?
    Any help very much welcome.

    Cheers

This plugin was modeled after the larger Google Calendar experience and does not offer such a widget.

Cheers, Eran. It was the ‘Optional’ bit mentioned for the widget that threw me.

I can now see the problem in one of the previous posts regarding the fixed width.

Will you be posting here when this has been resolved?

I do like this plugin though!

Thanks for the feedback, please remember to vote and indicate if the plugin works in your blog.

Right, the optional widget displays a list of calendar contributors, not a miniature of the calendar.

Please provide a link so I can see the css “fixed width” problem you’re experiencing.

Hi again Eran, unfortunately I am working on a localhost at the moment, but I can add the plugin live tomorrow if that’s ok and send the link? Unfortunately due to my location, it’s bed time for me with work tomorrow.
Thanks for clarifying my sidebar mixup.
You’ll certainly get a vote from me.

    Thanks again.

Hi again Eran, sorry about that. I have it live at https://www.in-the-doghouse.eu/calendar/.

You can see what I mean about the width etc. Also, when checking it in IE(v7), the header text appears to be cut off.

I haven’t had time to play around with the widths etc today as I am still at work and it may be better if you see it before I start screwing things up anyway:)

A few pointers would help and I am prepared to do the stuff myself.

Any help is welcome to get it all going.

    Cheers again,

Just noticed as well, the Month/Week options overlap the Categories in the header in Firefox (v4).

Basically, I know it is a thin conents page, but will it look ok reduced into that, as I need the sidebar visible for the menu?

    Thanks,

UPDATE: Ok, I have found how to manipulate the header width and content, (aec-view div line 2 and the fc-view class line 46 both in custom.css, but the cells do not shrink to suit and also my sidebar is missing underneath?

Is it possible to actually do all this without having to resize every element in the css files?

    Thanks,

    Malky,
To control the width of the entire calendar, add this line to custom.css:
    .wrap{width:80%}

I’m looking into the other css issues and should have corrections within a week.

    Hope this helps.

As of version 0.8, the Ajax Event Calendar plugin includes an option to toggle the sidebar template for the full calendar view. Many CSS theme conflicts have been resolved, but judging from preliminary tests, theme related issues are less likely to be addressed by me, as they represent customizations that can be made in the custom.css file.

If you use this plugin and it works for you, please show your support and vote.

    Thanks!

Hi again Eran, do we need to remove the existing installation before updating?
I updated and all the Calendar settings have disappeared on every page. There is only one checkbox visible but no text on any setting and no calendar. No way to add an event or anything? CSS perhaps?

    Me again with humble apologies.

On my local site it works fine , just some css fiddling with Firefox which screws up the header and IE shoves my sidebar down, but I can play with these. On the Live site I get nothing in the admin section, which means it’s obviously something I’ve tried to modify yesterday, so I’ll start again from scratch with the update.

Once again sincere apologies and may I add “it’s looking great now”?

    Well done!

    Malky
