What is the ID of the front page?

  • Hello,
    I’ve installed the No-404 plugin and I want to redirect all the bad requests to my home page. But My home page is the default one, I mean the latest posts.

    The plugin configuration asks for a page ID, but I can find the front page ID anywhere.

    I need some help

  • Your front page will not have an id.

    Hmmm ok.

    Do you know the No-404 plugin?
    You need to input a page number for it.

    If the home page doesn’t have an ID, I can’t redirect to the home page. Or maybe I can, creating a default page and using a 301 redirect to the front page.. Let’s see ??

    Right, it’s working now,

    I’ve created an empty private page
    I’m using the 301 redirect plugin to redirect that page to the front page
    Then i use the No-404 plugin to redirect all bad requests to the redirection page, which in turn redirects it to the front page

    What a big mess ??
