    Hi everyone,

so I’m having this serious problem, because my admin panel at https://www.multimeedium.ee/wp-admin doesn’t load – it just shows a blank page.
I wouldn’t consider myself a newbie (or whatever you call beginners these days). I swear I have done everything that is written in WP forums, guides and put my own knowledge and skills to use – I have gone deep into programming and codes to fix this problem and I have not succeeded.
I seriously am searching for innovative new ideas on how to fix this problem.
I really-really-really need help, otherwise I wouldn’t be posting this here at all.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Hi esmi,

    – Did that.
    – Did that too.
    – Yeap.
    – Yes.

As I said – I have done EVERYTHING and this situation is just soo weird.

Thank you so much for such a quick response – I appreciate it greatly!

..but I still need help, any other ideas on this topic? :/

Have you checked the server error logs?

    Thread Starter Unbelieva

    (@unbelieva)

Nope didn’t do that, but now that I have, it’s showing me 20 rows of this (just different lines):
[Mon Jun 13 13:39:39 2011] [error] [client 90.191.23.236] Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use ‘LimitInternalRecursion’ to increase the limit if necessary. Use ‘LogLevel debug’ to get a backtrace.

and another 20 rows of this:
[Thu Jun 16 20:57:14 2011] [error] [client 82.128.201.23] PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/la02/15488742/Uus/wp-content/themes/redbel/functions.php:473) in /home/la02/15488742/Uus/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1803

    Is this helpful?

..because I have to admit that I don’t know how to take action after reading these error logs..

Ok – you have 2 separate issues there. The first is a server issue but it could be related to permalinks or any redirects you have in place via a plugin or in .htaccess.

The second is your theme. Looks like you have an issue in the functions.php file. What’s around like 473?

Issue 2 isn’t causing the wp-admin issue as you’ve tried switching to Twenty Ten. But I wonder if Issue 1 is a clue? Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting and deleting (or renaming) any .htaccess files.

I deleted .htaccess files (had only 1).
What’s the name of the php file in my FTP for custom permalinks? (might be a newbie question – sorry for that).

By the way I couldn’t thank you enough for this help!

    (@unbelieva)

..and nothing’s around 473 in the functions file.

What’s the name of the php file in my FTP for custom permalinks?

The custom permalink structure is stored in your db – not in a file. You can reset it by visiting Settings -> Permalinks.

and nothing’s around 473 in the functions file

There’s an explanation of the error and a possible solution on Solving “headers already sent” warnings

    Still not working..

This must be a joke and the solution is probably just too simple…ugh, help!!

    (@unbelieva)

OMG the admin panel is back!

Wow now I’m not sure which thing helped, but thank you soo incredibly much, esmi! Great to have such people in this world – take care!!

Glad to hear that it’s working again. Sounds like it was a temporary server issue after all.
