  • Is there any error or warnings showed up?

No nothing shows up at all, it just reloads the form, although the event does save. It confuses users as they think it did not save as there is no notification. Also the “new location” link just goes back to the “my events” section, when it should loading a dialog for creating locations.

did you try setting up the permalinks?

    (@nicholmikey)

Well I have permalinks on… are there some links/pages I need to manually create?

are you using buddypress? or is this happening in the wp-admin area?

My guess is it’s a theme issue, if I remember correctly I think we inject messages into the head of the page somewhere using bp filters.

    – This is in buddypress (1.2.8)
    – Not happening in wp-admin area
    – I get other notifications, like if a date is invalid or field is missing, just no “save successful” notification.

    hi,

did you try changing to BuddyPress Default Theme 1.2.7?

Just tested that and I get the same thing. I get notices about validation, but no “Event Saved” notification.

just checked this, working fine on my default bp theme local install (you’re also the only person having this issue I know of)

I’m having the same issue, and was just coming in to post about it.

I don’t have buddypress, and I’m using the website as if I am a ‘regular’ user.

pls use another topic muskat, this is a different problem

    (@nicholmikey)

Marcus thanks for testing this, I will try a fresh wordpress install with the latest buddypress and events manager and test it again. Must be something about my wordpress setup, as even the bp-default theme has this issue for me.

Sorry Marcus, I must have misread it.

Ok so, if I put wordpress into debug mode it works and I get notifications, once out of debug mode it stops working.

When in debug mode I get the error:

Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/mnichols/opspedia/bp1.2upgrade/var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-activity.php:246) in /home/mnichols/opspedia/bp1.2upgrade/var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/events-manager/classes/em-notices.php on line 11

    Any ideas?
