• I have been approached by a client to re-develop an existing theme and they want a WYSIWYG editor, similar to the existing content editing area, including in their custom post type.

Does anyone have any idea on how I can successfully achieve this?

  • The WYSIWYG editor used by WordPress is called TinyMCE
You could look at the advanced TinyMCE plugin and see if it allows you to do what you want to do.

Thanks for this but the client wants everything hard coding into the theme template.

They also want multiple instances of the TinyMCE editor for up to 6 different textarea’s
