    Hello!

I’d like to remove some of my uploaded header images. I’ve deleted the images from my wp-content/upload folder. The backend still shows me the broken pictures. And the random function does as well.

Does anybody know a solution for this?

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Open header.php in twenty eleven theme,
    find and remove this code:

    Goodluck!

I have the same problem and would like to know how to remove a single uploaded header image.

I’ve got it: Just remove the images from your WP-Backend unter “Media”. They are still there after removing them via FTP. That’s it.

    Thank You ??

    THANKS!

I tried that and it did remove the uploaded header images. However, it did not remove the click circles that had been associated with each of the deleted images.

So, when I tell it to use random images among the images that I did not delete, sometimes it shows no header image at all because it “thinks” there should still be an image where the deleted ones were.

me too had same problem …
i think keeping default header images is a must not to get a bug later .
i went to Cpanel then to file manager -choose root document and click
wp-content ..then pick the uploads file and select and delete .it worked fine with me .

Do you mean the uploads directory? I don’t see any uploads file.

are u using Cpanel from yr hosting ?

Yes, my hosting account gives me access to Cpanel. I also have FTP access to the files. I see an uploads directory but no uploads file.

In Cpanel scroll down to Files and click Legacy File manager , pop up window will open , it will show 4 options, click Document root and then it will take you to a page where you can select wp-content .
Click wp-content and then click UPLOADS …then check 2011 file .
i am sure you know this ….

Yes, that’s the uploads directory. I don’t mean to be rude and I’m sorry if I come off as fussy about this but I think it’s important to recognize the difference between a file and a directory.

Does that remove the unwanted click circles in the Twenty Eleven Header page in Dashboard under Appearance?
