• Hi folks, I REALLY need to have a test zone where all my parse errors and stuff are not in the way of viewers. How do I set up a page or area that does not crash the rest of the site if say Im playing with the sidebar? – some of my opps are pretty spekky ?? Do i have to create a sidebar2 and header2 etc for a specific testpage or something ??
    Thanks

  • I’ve installed XAMPP on my computer ( https://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html ) – it was a few minutes job, and I can play around safely with all my test stuff.

Most people usually deploy a second installation of wordpress under a subdomain or a subfolder only known to you that you can play around with and whatever works, you can integrate into your regular blog.

This allows you to re-install it without having to worry about saving any information.

Thanks guys. Both suggestions are good for me.
I think I will firstly do a second install but the xampp is something I think I will do – may learn php faster ??
    Thanks
