What are the validation errors being reported?

Most of those sound to me like shortcomings in the Validator itself. I don’t see any meaningful validation errors being reported.

IMHO, you can safely ignore them.

Now this is really weird.

I just installed another template and the errors have dropped from 5 to 2. Makes me wonder about ignoring the errors…

Is the new theme also HTML 5?

not sure how to tell. I’m guessing it is…

The validator should tell you. HTML 5 and it’s validator are still in the “experimental” stage compared to XHTML.
