sidebars and usefulness

  • The notes on Customising Your Sidebar states – the main purpose of the side bar – provide navigation assistance for the visitor.
    On one of my sidebars I have Pages – list of pages – followewd by title – List of pages then sort by and nil on exclude.
    I cannot see how this sidebar helps a visitor
    I assume I have done something wrong or do not know how to use the sidebar.
    Anybody help?

  • You edit the sidebars through the widgets tab. If you don’t modify the sidebar it often has a standard layout – you can remove this by putting an empty text widget in sidebar. But making the sidebar useful is really dependent on the layout and content of your website…
