[Plugin: Front-End Users] Missing fields?

I have found that it works well with the “User Avatar” plug-in ( https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/user-avatar/ ).

I myself though found that ay custom fields – or even some of the extra communication fields – do not seem to show up.

You need to edit the template in settings.php within the plugin to add custom fields. The plugin does not yet know about custom fields – probably because each custom field might have a different format etc.
