Ontology

  • Well, Helle All !
    To become acquainted,
    I a French and of course prefer to talk in French !
    I come in this Forum because I try to have contacts with people building Ontologies, specially with the OWL language.
    Trying to contact Mr Dan Bricklin, about SemanticWeb.org, and, step by step, came here !
    Anyway, trying to use the latest Freewares to make “Webpages” lead into a lot of puzzling traps !
    I loaded then “WordPress3.2.1”, but, as Mediawiki and Semanticmediawiki, everything or almost is intended to “Linux” computers, and I prefer to stay under Windows.
    More, all the Files of the loaded Packages are in “*php”,
    and, even with “PHP” in the machine, never a “setup” program let open the fantastic tools they say provide.
    Well, all are supposed to run as parts of “Web Server”, but it would be better to try before uploading to a Provider, to Try as in “Localhost” ! Is nt’it ?
    So, no-one to explain, without a commercial Software designed for,
    how to build a “LocalSite” !
    So, from OWL, needing “XAMPP” and “Protege”, to the Ontologies supposed to give matter to discuss, it is hard to find and start exchanges !
