Comments OFF… spammers still posting?!?!

  • I have the comments turned off on my blog. If you look at the post it says that comments are off. Yet, every few days I get a post comment for viagra or something… how are they getting in if I have comments off?

    do I need to hack the comment page out? do they have a URL bookmarked to a comment page that is there, but not publicly displayed?

  • Welcome to wordpress, Okay first install a plug in blocking comments with too many links those are the spam ones if that doesn’t work try another spam plug in also the viagra comments are bad yes but that means crawlers are getting to you’re site.
    also it could be that they have you’re url in the system and they’re just going there
